The Rev. Sidebotham serves as rector of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, Ill. Before hearing a call to ordained ministry, he worked in New York in the fields of animation, illustration and advertising. (Some would say he is still working in advertising.) He is grateful not only for the opportunity that parish work affords to continue expressing himself in his drawing, but also for the abundant supply of material for cartoons that emerges in parish life.
Jay serves on the board of Episcopal Relief and Development and is deeply involved in the ministries of the local and world-wide church. He will be traveling with his wife, Frances, an author and holistic counselor. He has two beautiful children, John Reid and Helen who are attending Wake Forest University.
He’s on sabbatical in Africa, Israel, and Italy from February 6-March 14.
